The Peking is the oldest established Chinese restaurant in Bath, and as regular visitors will tell you, the reason for our longevity and excellent reputation (listed in both Michelin and Ronay) should hopefully become apparent from the moment you step inside.

Situated in the heart of Bath on Kingsmead Square, a short walk from the world-renowned Roman baths, our interior is designed to create an atmosphere of gentle charm and sophistication with just a hint of the luxurious. The soft lighting and elegant décor lend themselves well to a relaxed environment while our staff, friendly and welcoming at all times, aim to make you feel immediately at home.

Once seated, you will be able to choose from our extensive menu, which offers a variety of specially selected dishes created from Cantonese, Szechuan and Peking cuisine. Old favourites such as sweet and sour, ginger and spring onion, mingle freely with the more exotic creations typified by our much-loved lobster and crab dishes. The Peking Duck is, as you might expect, a particular speciality, but please remember, as the dish is prepared entirely on the premises you do have to book this in advance (preferably 24hrs). As an alternative for the more spontaneous, our Crispy Aromatic Duck needs no advance order and is actually one of the most popular choices on our menu.

Air conditioned for comfort, the restaurant seats approximately 90 people, including an upstairs area catering to 25 and suitable for private parties, family gatherings or those who simply prefer quiet seclusion.

Our bar is fully stocked with a range of over 40 wines as well as lager and soft drinks and, aside from our Main menu, we do also provide a Lunch menu and for the more daring a special "All you can eat" menu which is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Although we do not deliver (sorry!) a take away service is available and receives a 15% discount.
